Young Money’s New Home

Good morning guys.

As you probably know, I have been writing on a platform called “Substack” for the last six months. However, this will be the last piece that I publish on Substack. As of this week, Young Money has a new home:

Beehiiv.

While the platform won’t make a huge difference for you all, it will for me.

Substack has been awesome. Six months ago, I never would have imagined that nearly 3000 of you would want to read what I write every week. But here we are. Given this fast growth, I knew that I needed to decide where to plant my roots for the long-term.

Beehiiv was a no brainer.

I’ve been considering moving to Beehiiv for a while, and after talking with CEO Tyler Denk, it was a no brainer. Tyler was previously Employee #2 and Senior Product Lead at Morning Brew. He developed the referral program responsible for driving their growth from hundreds of thousands to millions of readers.

Tyler and the beehiiv team know what it takes to grow an audience and monetize a newsletter. They know the struggles that creators face, because they faced the problems themselves. And they are shipping new product every few weeks.

If you want to read more about what Tyler and friends are cooking over at beehiiv, check out this piece on Litquidity’s Exec Sum newsletter.

While the beehiiv move won’t affect any of you, there are a few other changes that might.

Other News

“youngmoneyweekly.substack.com” is a terrible web address, so I purchased a domain:

www.youngmoney.co

Does having my own website mean that I “made it” as a writer? I have no idea. But it does mean that I have a website. Which is cool.

I also have a new email address associated with said website: Jack@youngmoney.co.

Creative, no?

Housekeeping

Here is the important part for you guys. There are now more than 2640 of you subscribed to Young Money, and I don’t want to lose any readers in this transition. I am going to outline what the changes will look like from your side, and what to expect:

  • I already moved all of your emails over to beehiiv, and my next post will come from there.

  • Your email server wants to filter out junk, and it may think the new “Young Money” is junk. If you receive the welcome email in your spam folder, please move it to your normal inbox.

  • By replying to the welcome email, it will signal your email server to “trust” beehiiv. If you can reply “received” to the welcome email from beehiiv, I would really appreciate it.

  • I uploaded my old posts to beehiiv and updated all of my links to redirect there.

  • I will leave my Substack page up and running, so any old links to this content will still work.

So yeah, that’s it. Keep an eye out for my next post tomorrow, and please help me out by moving it to your primary inbox if it gets caught in the spam folder. I’m excited for this move, and I can’t wait to see where this thing goes in 2022.

Vamos đŸ€

Jack
