One thing I would like to highlight:
1. You can still go do all of the fun stuff that the average person does while having an extremely high savings rate if you have a high paying job. If financial freedom is a goal but you want to still have fun with your friends work your ass off at a demanding job that pays a lot. A lot of guys I know in the finance or tech space are able to become financially independent in 5-7 years. Sure they work demanding hours but after a short five years a lot of these guys are able to sock away seven figures worth of wealth.
